Join us as we honor our Heimdall, Tyr, and Frey for the feast of Yule. This is an open, public ritual – anyone who wishes to attend in a spirit of sharing and openness is welcome around our fire.
There will be opportunities for open offerings – any burned offering is acceptable, but we ask that you keep offerings small, and not burn anything that could be toxic or otherwise detrimental to the environment. We will have offering materials available as well for those who might need it.
As is customary at Yule, we will have a time for oathmaking during our ritual. This is a serious, dedicated practice, and we encourage anyone who wishes to swear an oath to do so carefully and respectfully. Our officers will be swearing their oaths and beginning their officer terms at this ritual as well.
We will be meeting at 7pm near the creek at the Bay Area Unitarian Universalist Church, outside the building towards the front of the property. Look for the fire pit and the world pillar, and we will be nearby!
Please bring bug spray, a light source, and a chair if you would like to sit.
We will be gathering after the ritual at the Fellowship Hall in the church for a potluck celebration of snacks and desserts. Please bring something to share that will feed 5-8 people, and if you have any special food needs, please be sure to bring something that YOU can eat!
The ritual will start promptly at 7:30 pm – if you are late, feel free to join us, but do not disturb the ritual if possible.
This ritual will follow ADF’s Core Order – if you don’t know what that is, or have questions, please ask and we will be happy to let you know what to expect!
If you get lost, have questions, or are running late and need to find us, feel free to text or call 713-409-2774 – I’ll do my best to answer!
